Every tattoo tells a story. This portfolio is a reflection of my creativity, growth, and passion for creating meaningful designs that are as unique as the people who wear them.

Tattoo Aftercare

Follow these steps to ensure your new tattoo heals properly and looks its best for years to come.

1

Leave the Bandage On

Leave your Saniderm bandage on for 24 hours (or as directed by your artist). It is normal for blood, plasma, and excess ink to collect beneath the bandage. This is part of the healing process. If the bandage begins leaking, peels enough to expose the tattoo, or fills excessively with fluid, remove it early.

2

Removing the Bandage

Wash your hands thoroughly. Remove the bandage slowly under warm running water, pulling it back over itself rather than straight up. Wash the tattoo gently using lukewarm water and a fragrance-free antibacterial or gentle soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.

3

Applying the Second Bandage

Allow the tattoo to air dry for 10–15 minutes. Apply the second Saniderm bandage to clean, dry skin. Leave the second bandage on for 3–5 days, unless it leaks or begins to peel enough to expose the tattoo.

4

After the Final Bandage

Wash the tattoo once or twice daily with fragrance-free soap. Pat dry and apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free tattoo lotion. Moisturize only when the tattoo feels dry. Too much lotion can slow healing.

5

During Healing

Do not scratch, pick, or peel flaking skin. Avoid soaking the tattoo in baths, hot tubs, pools, lakes, or the ocean until fully healed (approximately 2–4 weeks). Avoid direct sunlight and tanning while healing. Wear clean, loose-fitting clothing whenever possible. Continue moisturizing until the skin is fully healed.

6

What's Normal

Mild redness Tenderness Itching Flaking or peeling Slight cloudiness or dull appearance during healing

7

Contact Your Artist If

The tattoo becomes increasingly red after the first few days. You notice excessive swelling, pus, foul odor, or severe pain. You experience signs of an allergic reaction to the adhesive.
